What is the POP Club?
In 2022 and 2023, the Del Ray Farmers Market offered an exciting “Power of Produce” (POP)
Club to engage families with children between the ages of 4-12. For each of the weeks we offer
the POP Club, children between the ages of 4 and 12 attending the market receive a $5 voucher
that they can redeem at the market for fresh fruits and vegetables.
What will be new in 2024 is that we will invite Del Ray restaurant chefs to the market for
cooking demonstrations oriented around seasonal fruits and vegetables available at the market.
The strengthen the bonds between the market and Del Ray’s local businesses by allowing the
chefs to describe their restaurant directly to Del Ray residents!
When is the POP Club Offered?
In 2024, the POP Club will be offered on the second Saturday of every month from April
through September during market hours. The schedule of participating restaurants is below!
April 13 – Taqueria el Poblano
May 11 – Matt and Tony’s All Day Kitchen + Bar
June 8 – District Biscuit Company
July 13 – in progress
August 10 – Pork Barrel BBQ
September 16 – Del Ray Pizzeria & Draft House
